This is what the middle of a pool build looks like - and honestly, it's one of our favorite stages. The excavation is done, the steel wall panels are set, and the Pool Crete is freshly applied across the floor and walls. It's that point where a big dirt hole starts looking like an actual pool.
Pool Crete is a critical step that most homeowners don't hear much about. It creates a smooth, solid base layer that supports the vinyl liner and helps it hold its shape over time. Getting it right matters - a poor application here can cause the liner to wrinkle, shift, or wear unevenly down the road. We don't cut corners on it.
The steel wall system you see here is part of what makes an inground vinyl liner pool such a solid investment. It's strong, it's precise, and when it's paired with a properly prepared concrete base, you've got a structure built to last. The liner drop is coming next, and that's when it really starts to look like the backyard people have been dreaming about.
Every build starts with site prep and excavation - getting the ground ready before any structure goes in. That phase sets the tone for everything that follows. A well-excavated, properly graded site means the installation goes smoother, the pool sits level, and there are fewer headaches later on. That foundation work is just as important as anything you see above ground.
We're close. Liner goes in soon, and this space is going to look completely different in a matter of days. This is the part of the job we love - watching it all come together right before a homeowner sees their backyard for the first time.
